My daily gratitude
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. To me it represents a day of gratitude. A celebration with family and friends to acknowledge out loud what we are grateful for.
As I write this blog I am reminded of all my blessings. Every day I am grateful for my breath, my life. I am so lucky to have a body that is strong and healthy.
I am a middle age woman whose body is changing. I am grateful that I get to experience this “new” body and all its changes. Let’s start with hot flashes and night sweats. I used to be the one who was always freezing. In fact, one of my favorite days are when it was HHH Hazy Hot and Humid. I used to be that instructor who complained if I had to teach in the AC room. Now I embrace the cool temperatures. My new favorite thing I sleep with besides my hubby, is my fan.
My new body has many new features. On my face, I am blessed with many new lines and wrinkles. I am currently obsessed with sunscreen. Something I never used to think about. Nowadays, invisible zinc is my new friend.
My new body has some skin issues, creapy skin they call it.
Another new feature is my dry skin. I mean hydrate, how can I when immediately after application, it absorbs it all in. Let’s talk about
I am embracing middle age, I truly am. I am grateful for my new body and for all the things that define me as a woman, a strong, healthy and happy woman.
